Senior Research Consultant – Agroecology & Landscapes

We’re Hiring | Senior Research Consultant – Agroecology & Landscapes (Delhi with travel to Madhya Pradesh)

Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF) is inviting applications for the position of Senior Research Consultant under the Agroecology-based Regional Model Landscape Transformation (AgRMLT) initiative, being implemented in partnership with NCNF and GIZ.

This short-term consultancy will support a landscape-level agroecological research study in Bundelkhand (Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh), focusing on soil–water systems, farming practices, community institutions, nutrition, and convergence with flagship schemes such as NMNF, VB-G-RAM-G (MGNREGA), NRLM, ICDS, and MDM.

The role involves:
Designing and leading mixed-methods research (GIS, PRA, institutional mapping)
Synthesising secondary datasets and conducting primary assessments
Analysing agroecological, livelihood, and governance systems
Developing evidence-based recommendations for scalable landscape transformation
Close coordination with CSOs, government stakeholders, and technical partners
Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder validation

We are looking for senior research professionals with deep experience in agroecology, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, or rural livelihoods, and strong familiarity with Madhya Pradesh / Bundelkhand contexts.
