We've been working on this together since 2019, aiming to forge an alternative future for Himalayan youth through youth entrepreneurship, climate change adaptation, and sustainable livelihoods. In December 2022, Margshala Foundation was formally registered to take forward our work within and beyond Uttarakhand.

As an Associate Program Manager at Margshala Foundation, you will play a pivotal role in leading program management and operations, driving the organisation’s social mission of creating local livelihoods for the next generation.
The role encompasses the overall on-ground implementation of Margshala’s programs aimed at driving growth across all organisation’s initiatives. The Asst. Program Manager will be encouraged to bring a problem-solving mindset to the solutions Margshala is currently deploying towards its mission of creating local livelihood opportunities for rural communities in the Western Himalayas. This role serves as a critical point of integration across program design, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), program implementation, media & outreach and alumni engagement, ensuring all efforts are aligned with the organisation’s goals and strategic priorities.
| Program Management & Implementation | • Plan, strategise, and execute Margshala programs post a thorough understanding of program design, objectives and outcomes • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure seamless execution of the program strategy across different programs • Lead on-ground implementation of programs along with cluster champions, operations and facilitators • Manage and guide cluster champions across cohorts in their role to achieve desired impact • Manage program operations along with operations resource to effectively execute program workshops & logistics • Take responsibility for end-to-end, smooth and optimal program delivery, resulting in the timely completion of the program | | --- | --- | | Participant Engagement & Value Growth | • Ensure program participants find value in the program and continue to engage and participate • Proactively identify opportunities to support participants in their program-relevant & personal challenges and growth • Gather and analyse participant insights to enhance program effectiveness and individual learning experiences. | | Data, Documentation and Budgeting | • Facilitate an efficient workflow by keeping Notion and other relevant databases/task-tracking platforms up-to-date • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary data and information to support the Growth & Strategy Lead in the accurate preparation and maintenance of program budgets, donor reports, end-phase reports, and other relevant documentation | | Cluster Coordination & Facilitation | • Collaborate with the Design team to align program objectives with effective delivery strategies across clusters • Coordinate with facilitators and lead co-facilitators/cluster champions to ensure efficient running of sessions and workshops • Maintain consistent, clear, and high-quality communication with fellows of your cluster through approved channels • Build and nurture strong relationships with Fellows through consistent & reliable communication and engagement • Co-facilitate sessions, review assignments and provide constructive feedback to enhance participant progress, offering guidance for improvement where necessary | | Organisational Support | • Take ownership of other organisational aspects such as alumni engagement, mentorship and selections for program participants in consultation with the Growth and Strategy Lead • Be open to taking on new tasks and responsibilities as the organisation grows and evolves • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of program strategies, suggesting improvements for optimised outcomes |
